GLOBAL VILLAGE ENGLISH LANGUAGE CENTRE

By utilizing the strength of digital marketing, we created a unique
brand of content which helped a fledgling school retain is rightful
place in the market.

CHALLENGES

 

In 2018, one of Vancouver’s oldest and biggest ESL schools was facing a financial crisis when it found itself increasing unable to remain
competitive in the ESL market.

A significant reason for this was because the school was only relying on traditional marketing methods to advertise itself.

This unfortunately meant that no investment was being made into exploring the important field of digital marketing.

STRATEGIES

 

We focussed on what made the school stand out from the competition – its enduring commitment to high quality education.

The school boasted some of the best teachers and programs in the city, so we set about
creating content that showcased those two elements.

We also shone a spotlight on the school’s downtown location which to us was a further selling point.

We then built a modern, easily accessible website and created accounts on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Twitter, so that we had an array of platforms that could host our material.

OUTCOME

 

By highlighting Global Village’s best assets, its faculty, its courses and location, we were able to brand the school in a way that appealed to a large cross section of international students.

It also resulted in reported higher satisfaction rates among existing students as they now had the opportunity to digitally engage with the school.

 

THE BOTTOM LINE

 

The school’s revenue within the local market was doubled in under a year.
